Thank you 🙏 for sharing your story. It must have been really hard and painful. I couldn’t read the entire article but I can feel how a little 11 year old must have felt to get married at a young age. Sadly child marriages still happen even now… even in some areas of my country. I just wish and pray that girls irrespective of their culture or caste are not subjected to such a harsh life at a tender age where they should be only studying and playing with their friends… I’ll definitely grab a copy and share this post with my friends as well. Again… thanks for sharing 🙏

These life experiences need to be shared as early marriages still happen in India even though it’s against the law …. poor families are desperate and the girl children suffer!

Unfortunately we still have this illegal underaged marriages in some villages back in Iran. It should be taken seriously as it damages unbelievably.😍

No legally of course. Unfortunately parents are the real criminals in this matter.🙁

What is the reason in your opinion? Economical background? Tradition (it happened to me so I will do it to my children)? Fear?

illiteracy-poverty are the most important part of this stupidity. It is so unfortunate because the price of this crime is so high and the damage is undeniable 😔

I can’t even begin to imagine the damage it does … it’s just so wrong!
Children should be allowed to enjoy their childhood and learn about sexual matters later with someone their own age and choice …

Yes. It is so sad to see parents commit such crimes 🙁

but desperate people take desperate measures, they need education and resources 🙂

Education will teach them to stop having too many children. Then they have to get rid of girls and use boys as labors😔

why would they get rid of girls?
LikeLiked by 1 person
Because girls are useless to uneducated people. Girls are consumers. Boy work and bring them money.

ah but if we were educating them to have less children we could also assumedly educate them about equality and educating their children regardless of gender .. 🙂

Laleh khanum. did I understand this right, that this happened to your mother? My heart was torn apart reading this, yet you know this even happens in the country I live in. I do believe that this has to be published as a book.

Oh my! I have run short of words but I know it is unbelievaby true. This is a rampant practise even in some of my primitive communities till present in my home country. I feel so bad to even see that taking place in this century! It is a moral duty to fight this Vice. Thanks Laleh for sharing this story.
