“103rd story”

First published: Aug.08.2019

Adam worked in an office and his wife was a nurse.

Every morning he gave a ride to his wife, Terry. Every time when Adam stopped at Terry’s work place, he jumped out of his seat and opened the car door for her.

This door opening became, hospital’s first story: “Lucky Terry;  She has the most romantic husband, even after years of marriage he still opens the car door for her.”

They always reminded Terry how fortunate she was in life: “Having an idealistic husband who respects his wife and treats her like a princess is one in a million, you should be very grateful, Terry.”

But the truth was that Adam’s car was getting old and had an issue with its passenger door. It was impossible to open the door from inside and he had to jump out and open the door for his poor wife.

Being busy at daily jobs didn’t allow Adam to fix the car door, for some times. Terry never complained about the door, somehow she loved Adam opening the door for her and Adam didn’t mind the credit of being the most respected man in front of her colleagues.

Adam eventually fixed the car door one day, but never stopped opening the door for Terry. That was the smallest thing he could do to make her smile every morning.

Months passed and one day Terry said: “I feel so bad that every day you have to jump out to open the door. Aren’t you going to fix this car’s door?”
Adam smiled and said: “The car’s door has been fixed for a long time. Thanks to my scrap car that taught me how to treat my love like a princess.”

Dear friends;

Don’t forget to read my books.<3<3<3

  1. The husband fixed the car’s door for years and his wife never noticed because of the power of love. Thanks for posting another love story

  3. It really can be the little things that make people smile, too. I love how this shows the whole ‘two sides of a story’ element; what others see, and what the reason (at least initially) really was behind it. Very sweet story  ♥

  24. A wonderful story! I guess you can call me Adam, I’ve been opening car door for my wife, for 30+ years. You can’t fix an old heart, though broken a time or two. Still willing to treat his love, like a Queen!

  26. Love finds a way to share lasting peace and devotion. When a man opens a car door (or any door) for his bride, his small act of grace fills both of their hearts.
