“144th story”
Elam was in a family gathering. She was bored a little and reached for the magazine on the coffee table and opened it.
An exciting question drew her attention. Elam read the matter quietly. One of the family members told her: “Read it louder.”
Elam said: “It is an interesting question. It says ‘What is better than everything?’.”
The father of the family said: “Money.”
The new bride said: “Love.”
The new groom said: “Mate.”
The schoolboy said: “Education.”
The father said again, “Money? Coin? Gold?”
Elam smiled and said to the father: “Can’t be those!”
The father said: “Okay then, wealth? Power?”
Elam sighed.
The grandmother said: “It’s life.”
Sia, who recently graduated from the university said: “Job?”
The uncle said: “Loan?”
The mother said: “Time?”
Another said: “Humanity?”
Elam smiled sadly and thought to herself: “Everybody’s life is different. All of their answers could be correct. If you dig deep into their lives, everyone has their reasons to answer differently. A poor barefoot boy may say shoes, a farmer might say snow, and a mute person would say talk. The deaf would say voice, and the blind says light.”
But I thought why none of them said: “GOD. Or in these hard days, maybe ‘Patient’ would be the correct answer.
What would your answer be?

I agree it is God. Without Him there is no love or joy or peace. No patience, kindness, gentleness or self-control. No hope!

“But I thought why none of them said: “GOD.” Because men has forsaken their Savior and choose Satan over His love instead. That’s why they didn’t say the answer only a remnant of us will. ❤ Very true and thought provoking story for all at this time. God bless and keep you safe!

I don’t think it’s god. In my mind, what is better than everything is imagination. When sad or disappointed in reality, we can escape for some joy. When inspired, imagination creates. It gives us room to breathe when we’re feeling oppressed, and awe when it’s lacking in reality. So yeah, it’s not god.

I don’t think it’s god. I don’t think it is patience, as patience is concentrated and focused strength in the Silence of stillness, a dense though open singularity seed of infinity, though not more than everything… patience is potential, though that said, carries a non-existent quality.
I feel the fluid fluency of ImaginAction is more than everything, actionable imagination in ImaginAction as it takes death as the mother of memory to flow in and nourish future dreams in the Soul Garden of the perpetual present.
You see, I literally lost my creativity, and my imagination shortly followed suit 4 years ago. Both desiccated, died on the vine to slip back into some infinitely far place inside. It’s intense 3-year long trauma that did that. It’s is a common occurrence. PTSD literally scars one over like a psychic burn victim. I came to my senses one day, and left. After I exited the situation, it didn’t sit right with me at all that me, an Architect, Painter, Tarot Reader & Author, Astrologer, Poet, Writer, etc etc was no longer creative, no longer had an imagination or access to it. Problem-solving never left, though in the context of MIA creativity and imagination, that’s just permutations like Tetris, and finite
As I am want to do, I took the long way home so to speak. I discovered Brainspotting therapy, and for 3 years went bi-weekly/monthly. 18 months out from that, now, I’m certainly back, and I consider my creativity and imagination to be even stronger now, as boundaries were also developed so I could inflate to pressurize myself to look just like me.
So, it’s imagination, and ImaginAction to me that is more than everything. Imagination commands my inner and outer infinities with fluid fluency without being vague or nebulous. A bit Neptunian, yes, though not nebulous.
So, it’s imagination and ImaginAction. They are certainly my “more than everything.”

🙂 Thank you, Laleh. I’m pleased that I stepped in and up to take the long way home. Now, the African Proverb fits to a ‘T’: “Trees with strong roots needn’t fear torrential storms”; “Storms make oak trees take deeper roots”; and my own fave from one of my books… Forgetting is for getting. Makes more room for the good stuff. 🙂
I’m thoroughly pleased to have found your work.

A very profound parable, thank you for sharing. My answer? Being of service to others and to Mother Earth. Although, I would be the first to say that I do not have the answers.
