“92nd story”
First published: May.23.2019
Once upon a time in a kingdom, the king suffered pain in his eyes.
Many different doctors visited him but none of them were able to cure the king’s pain.
The King’s right-hand minister suggested: “There is a wise man in the Kingdom who knows everything, let him visit you.”
The king agreed and they brought the wise man to visit the king.
The wise man said: “If you see everything in green, your pain will stop eventually and your eyes will be cured.”
The king ordered every wall of his palace to be painted green. The king’s pain in his eyes was getting better exactly as the wise man promised.
The king ordered everyone to wear green. He asked for all the dishes, table cloths, furniture, curtains; every possible thing in the palace to be changed to green.
The project took a whole year. The palace started to become famous and known as the ‘Green Palace.’
The king’s eyes were completely cured. He felt no pain at all.
The king asked his minister to bring the wise man back to the palace as he wanted to reward him.
When the wise man came to visit, the king said: “Thank you for your perfect prescription. The colour green really cured the pain in my eyes, but what an expensive prescription it was. We paid a fortune to change everything to green, but it was worth it.” And laughed.
The wise man replied politely: “I asked you to see everything in green. You just had to use glasses with green glass. You didn’t need to change the world around you, you just had to change your vision.”
-There is no need for us to change the world around us, in fact, it would be impossible. We just need to change the way we look at our surrounding.
Dear friends;

An intriguing tale, as always, Laleh. Given the current existential crises that humankind now face with climate disruption and ecosystems collapse, I cannot agree with your conclusion. We not only “need to change the way we look at our environment,” but we must also change the toxic world we have created for ourselves.

I really like this one. Thanks, dear. And i really like that the king changed the world. It’s not a bad idea to think that, sometimes, you can change the world. Sometimes, changing the world is beneficial. Not only for you, but for the world too. Have a wonderful day, dear. Thanks again.

Green is a soothing color. It is true, that instead of changing the world, bending it to our own will, we should change ourselves instead. A nice story packed with much wisdom.

Wonderful story, and so true. Most people do not take responsibility for the world around them. They think it is “just there” and they are not responsible. They think life events “happen to them”, not understanding that they cause their world to be what it is by their thoughts, words and deeds. So when things go wrong they can say, “It is not my fault. It was done TO me”. In this manner their life does not change, they do not change. They muddle through never understanding they chose the life they have. We have so much power to affect the world around us but most people sit and wait for the world to change so they can be happy.
Thank you for your visits to my blogs. Life has been extra busy as I try to keep things done and sometimes I can’t get to my blogs because there are only so many hours in the day. Someday I will buy your book but I have a stack still waiting to be read. As I am still writng my book, needing it edited, it’s important to have it read.

Thank you Laleh, the world appears to be at the cross roads of time, lets hope all who believe in the One Great God, finally accept each other, even if they climb the eternal mountain from a different direction. My niece got an award from your President last year, you have a great art history culture, be blessed
