“107th story”

Once upon a time, a farmer wanted to sell his horse because it was old. But he wanted to make some money out of it. The price for the old horse was less than five gold coins, but the imposter farmer had an idea to get an excellent price for the old horse.

He went to the Bazaar and shouted many beautiful things about his horse. The king and his minister were passing by, and the farmer’s horse attracted the king’s attention.

He went to the farmer and asked for the price.

When the farmer noticed his customer was the richest person in the territory; The farmer said: “Your Highness my horse is a special horse, and it’s worth five thousand gold coins.”

The king got angry and screamed: “This horse isn’t worth three coins, what is so special that I should pay five thousand?”

The farmer replied: “When you sit on my horse’s back, you see the heaven in front of you. It’s like you are riding in heaven.”

The king got interested and said: “I will pay you ten thousand coins if this isn’t a scam; If you are lying, I will cut your head off.”

Then the King ordered his minister to test the heavenly ride.

The talented farmer said: “But I have to include that only pure souls can see heaven on my horse’s back. A guilty, thief, or sinner won’t see heaven.”

The minister heard this; and as the king ordered he had to ride on the horse’s back. but he didn’t see heaven.

The minister couldn’t let the king know he was a sinner, so he shouted: “Oh my God, this is so beautiful.”

The king couldn’t wait any longer and wanted to see it himself. He sat on that horse’s back and didn’t see anything, but couldn’t let people who gathered around them know that their king was a sinner and shouted: “Oh heaven, oh heaven.”

The king bought the horse for ten thousand golden coins.

The farmer became rich.

The simple-minded people touched the horse to get healed, or maybe their wishes would come through.

After the horse’s death, the king made a statue of a horse, and people continued to worship the statue.

    Laleh this story is so creatively written, filled with vivid imagery and insight. The imposter farmer, is like a false prophet or teacher. His heart was not towards heaven, but own selfish motive. Beware of going along with lie or scam to save face.
    There are so many nuggets in your story 💜😊

    Of course, one is left to consider who the biggest sinner was? Most certainly it was not the horse whom the people actually venerated.
