I enjoyed “Climbing Over Grit” more than I thought I would. The story was so very sad, the characters were interesting and some cruel. I read this book because someone told me that they had read it and enjoyed it, and they weren’t wrong what a fantastic book. It was so captivating and I almost couldn’t leave the book. As a therapist, I would say such a hard journey Najmeh passed in life.

I’m glad I read the book.

  1. Sylvia—those remarks are similar to mine, when I read the book! I was taken aback by it being written in first person, as the writer was the daughter of the woman who actually went through those experiences, but the overall effect was good. Parts were hard to read—she had a hard life.
