“226th Story”

Little Johnny was a ten-year-old boy. He walked into a little convenience store and approached the pay phone.

Johnny dialed a number and started a conversation which gained the store owner’s attention.

Johnny said: ” Good day ma’am I was wondering if I could cut your grass for a small amount of money?”

It seemed like the woman on the phone replied: “There is someone else cutting my grass, thank you.”

Johnny continued: “But I can cut your grass for half the price you are paying him, and will also add some extra work on top of that, like sweeping your driveway for free.”

But it was obvious that she rejected Johnny’s offer.

Johnny hung up the phone, and the owner noticed that Johnny was smiling, and he is happy.

The owner asked Johnny: “I admire your smile even after being rejected.”

Johnny said: “I cut this woman’s grass and she always says that she likes my work, and will always leave this job for me. I just wanted to be sure that she means it, and is loyal to my work.”

Dear friends don’t forget to read my books.

  3. Do I really need to test my true friends on these trust matters? That sounds too much like what slick politicians do today.
