Never Steal/هرگز دزدی نکن

249th story

A very wise grandfather was eating with his grandson.

The boy loved his grandfather.

The grandson asked: “Grandpa; I want to grow up just like you. You are a very good person. Everyone who knows you says that too. Can you teach me how to become a good person like you?”

The grandfather smiled and said: “My dearest, there’s only one thing you should remember in life. Never steal.”

The grandson was listening and wondering.

The grandfather smiled and continued:

” If you lie, you are stealing the trust.

If you slander, you are stealing the honor.

If you betray and cheat your partner you are stealing the love.

If you do violence you are stealing the kindness.

If you are treacherous, you are stealing the alliance.

If you are unwarranted you are stealing the justice.

If you waste time, you are stealing the life.

If you are immoral, you are stealing the peacefulness.

If you are shameless, you are stealing the nobleness, and if you steal money you are stealing the security.

So never steal in life, I promise you will be a true human being.”

  3. That is such a beautiful story, Laleh. All I could think of while I read it was how Trump is stealing on every count all the way down the list. I am beyond sad over what he has done to my country, and he has only just begun. You have experienced this and so much worse. My heart breaks over what you and your family have lived through. I’m so glad you are safe in Canada and that you have a strong government that will not bend to Trump.
