William was at the bank with his father. They stood in a long line to get to the teller.

William told his father, ” Dad, why don’t you do your banking online?”

His Dad replied: ” Why should I do that?”

William: ” Then you wouldn’t be in the bank for an hour. You can even buy groceries online;

They will deliver them. You don’t need to leave home. Isn’t it awesome?”

His Dad said, ” Because I needed to pay some bills, I had to come to the bank today. That made me see four of my old friends, and we exchanged numbers to plan to see each other one day and talk about all those wonderful memories. Today I said hi to many employees of the bank who have known me by coming here for years, and we exchanged kind smiles. When I fell on the sidewalk, it was the butcher who called an ambulance.

All the neighbours and businesses around the house know me well, because they see me every day. Those daily head shakes just to say hi to each other are keeping us going forward.

I need to come out of the house. We all need that, all these simple connections create unity, calmness and purpose.
