One morning, a husband returns to the cabin after a few hours of fishing and decides to take a nap.

His wife, who isn’t very familiar with the lake, decides to take the boat out since the weather is so pleasant.

She went away from the shore, dropped the anchor, and began reading her book.

A park ranger pulls up in his boat and says:

“Good morning, ma’am. What are you doing?”

The woman replies, “Reading a book.”

The ranger says, “You’re in a no-fishing zone.”

The woman answers, “I’m sorry, officer, but I’m not fishing. I’m reading.”

The ranger responds, “Yes, but you have all the fishing equipment. I’ll have to write you a ticket.”

The woman says, “For reading a book?!”

The ranger insists, “You’re in a restricted fishing area.”

The woman repeats, “But I’m not fishing. I’m just reading.”

The ranger says, “Yes, but you have all the gear. How do I know you won’t start fishing at any moment? I have to fine you, and you’ll need to pay.”

The woman calmly replies:

“If you do that, I’ll charge you with sexual harassment.”

The ranger, shocked, says:

“But I haven’t even touched you!”

The woman answers:

“That’s true. But you have all the equipment. How do I know you won’t?”

The ranger quickly says:

“Have a nice day, ma’am,”

and speeds away.
