“109th story”

Mr. Petin lived in Scotland. He had an apartment in London, and for business matters, he stayed there four to five days per month. Mr. Petin was seventy-two years old but looked younger. He was a brilliant businessman.
James wasn’t just his Doctor but his best friend too.
Mr. Petin was a rich man. This story happened a few years before his death.
It was the year 1952, in an afternoon when Mr. Petin’s maid called James and asked; him to get there as fast as he could.
When James got there, Mr. Petin was in bed and looked very ill.
Mr. Petin told James: “I know I’m dying. Can you give this letter to Trout?”
James looked at the envelope and the address on the back and asked: “Can I mail it to him? It’s in another city.”
Mr. Petin said: “No, please, you have to go there. I don’t have the place’s exact number, and also he lived there five years ago. I am not sure if he still lives there. Promise that you will find him and give him this letter. You are my best friend James, and I can’t trust no one else.”
James promised Mr. Petin.
Mr. Petin passed away in peace.
After two weeks James decided to deliver the letter. That city was a little far from London. James drove with his old scrap car.
James found the address, but Trout didn’t live there anymore. James gave his address to the new owner and asked them to contact James if they had any news from Trout.
Months passed, and not delivering Trout’s letter was bothering James. One day while walking, James was crossing the street, when an old, wrecked car hit him. It was a minor accident. The driver jumped out of his car and felt so bad, he asked to take James to the hospital, but James was okay.
The driver said: “My name is Mr. Trout, please let me know in any way that I can help you?”
James was shocked and said: “Oh my God. Do you know anyone by the name of Petin?”
Trout’s face went purple and said: “Yes.”
James said: “I have a letter for you; please come to my place so I can give it to you.”
Mr. Trout didn’t want to, but he felt terrible not to.
Trout followed James to his place. James handed him the letter. Mr. Trout opened the letter and read it quietly.
Then he said: “We were partners; I was a rich man. Mr. Petin made me broke. Now has left me with seven hundred thousand pounds! He asked me in this letter to see his lawyer. He left me more than what he owed me. Now I am rich again. He also asked me to give you ten thousand pounds.”
“For me?” James asked shockingly.
Trout said: “I don’t have the money now, but as soon as I get the money from Petin’s lawyer, I will mail you a cheque.”
A few months after, James received a cheque of ten thousand pounds; enough to buy a new car and more.

Beautiful story if something has to be delivered, destiny will definitely fix it even by accident. I call it power of God.

This story teaches that it is worth being a good person. If someone has been hurt, the wrong done must be repaired. Only then can you be human and peacefully die with a clear conscience. Your stories teach you how to proceed to earn the name MAN

Mr. Petin wanted to leave this earth, in honesty by paying back what he owed, I believe there are no coincidences in life, there are just surprising turns.

It is nothing special. But i observe things and i see that it is better to type the dots ( : ) after your name, and not before.
Instead of ” A story : by Laleh Chini “, to write ” A story by Laleh Chini : ” or ” Story | By Laleh Chini : ”
Ps : if you take a look at the backend, the “Reader”, you’ll understand what i mean, since your story starts without any space. I wish you don’t get offended. It is just a stupid observation of mine. But when i share your posts, or i flip them to my magazine -not only on twitter, but whatever the sharing platform might be- it doesn’t look that nice. And since you make an effort to look nice – i can tell, i see how much you care about the aesthetics, and i can tell you are doing wonderfully with your blog- it is better to know this detail. It is nothing, actually, important. Just saying, though.

It looks wonderful ! Despite the fact you make the changes to old posts, keep in mind that this won’t have any effect to the posts that are already shared, and -sometimes- even when you re share the same (fixed) old posts. Very good and well penned story! Teaches us that two wrongs don’t make a right. When others do you evil for good, don’t reward them back with evil but with good and in the end you will be rewarded greatly for doing so. I’m glad Mr. Petin recognized his wrong and turned from it to good before his passing. 🙂 blessings & grace.
