“51st story”
First Published: Aug.09.2018
An old neighbourhood was growing into a great location for real estate. All the old homes were demolished into beautiful big houses. A small grocery store in the area used to cover the necessities of the area.
They started to build a supermarket exactly across that grocery store. That wasn’t good news for the owner of the grocery.

The grocery store owner was very concerned as it was the only way he made a living. The grocery owner tried to find the supermarket’s owner and talk to him about how much his supermarket would destroy his business.
The supermarket owner was a very kind man and promised him that he would solve this problem.
Less than a year passed and the supermarket opened and started the business.

People in the neighbourhood, walked to the supermarket to shop and the grocery store owner was so sad and worried.

People filled their carts with a variety of things but they couldn’t find eggs, dairy, and bread.

It was rare to walk to a supermarket and not see these common commodities. They went to the management and asked the reason.

The owner said: “The grocery across sells bread, eggs, and dairy. It wasn’t our specialty.”

Dairy, bread, and eggs are people’s everyday necessities, they continued buying from the old grocery. The grocery owner realized how fair that deal was and changed his grocery to a dairy, bread, and eggs shop.

His sales were even better than before.
“God bless you, my rich competitor, instead of ruining my business you grew it for the better.” The old man said.

A great story fulfilled with empathy…
I wish it could be in reality. Thanks dear Sunith<3
Thank you for another wonderful story, we get motivation for future, Laleh! You will not believe, but the same as the supermarket-owner in the story our government in Bavaria tries to realise. But the truth is, before they had ruined all the small village stores, and now they try to realise something known from the former socialists in the GDR. History is revolving. ;-( Best wishes to you. Michael
Wow what a fantastic government. Wish the same best for the entire world. Thanks Michael dear ❤️
So touching story…we need these manners so much in our materialistic world..
But unfortunately we don’t see any! Thanks dear Sohair for sharing your thoughts.
Welcome dear Laleh:-)
<3

Same to you.
Great story, but I am thinking that such good, fair competition doesn’t exists in real life.
You are absolutely write dear friend. I guess that’s why writers create myths. 🙂 Thanks for sharing your thoughts.
Yeas myths are going to change peoples mind. And maybe some day they change :))
Amen😊
Great story it was all about compassion the owner of the super market could have destroyed the old man’s business but he didn’t. Thanks for sharing

The supermarket owner is so kind hearted. Lovely read dear 🌸💕💕
Wish it was in real world 😂thanks darling ❤️
Yea….we can only wish dear
So we shall continue 😂❤️
No ooo, I pray it doesn’t continue as a wish, I mean we can hope for a better world 🤷

I wish it was true. Thanks dear for sharing your thoughts ❤️
Yes, too bad it’s not true. The moral of the story is thought provoking. Thanks for sharing.
You’re very kind ❤️
A lesson in human charity that we could all learn from!
Thanks dear friend so much, appreciate your kindness ❤️
My pleasure !
I love this story! It relates how problems can be resolved without having a winner and a loser. If only this was a widely used strategy in our world, where everyone wants to “win” no matter the cost.
World would have been so beautiful, what a dream my dear Candice. Thanks so much ❤️
Instead of being a crab in the bucket, he helped his competitor. You’ll get more success by bringing other ppl up with you. Being greedy never satifies hunger, it only angers the body with its disruption and as a reault you’re hurting. Love this. Always so inspirational Iran. Thank you
Thanks darling for reading and commenting, means a lot ❤️
Nice story dear Lale, looks like a dreamed world 🙂 <3
Lol dream world indeed. Thanks dear friend ❤️
Yet another beautiful tale, Laleh.
Ah, if only our real world “rich competitors” were so considerate to the small groceries in our neighborhoods!
If😔 you’re the best Rosaliene dear ❤️
What a great story. Simply a lesson in humanity
Thanks dear for reading and commenting , means a lot ❤️

Competition is rare. At your place, as usual, fairy-tale. With faith in a man. Some people who read you are comforted. Thank you. You show people good
Thanks sweetheart for always supporting and being kind❤️
It is worth visiting you on the blog, because there are no ordinary things that I have full of, just a miracle of humanity.
Awwww, you’re so awesome❤️

😂 I know. It was everyone’s wish today as well as mine 😊thanks dearest Kate ❤️
you are most welcome Laleh 🙂
❤️
Oh my dear sweet lady!
This is a prime example of where we are headed.
Greed, as we once knew it, is dying out…it is fading away.
Integrity is replacing it….just as your story shows us.
It is true!
I have witnessed this on many levels of life!
When we look for integrity, we will find it.
Thank you….
Thanks REN darling for always being so kind ❤️
What a beautiful story!
Thanks dear ❤️
Peace
✌️

Thanks Warren dear, it really is.❤️
Those super market chains should listen to this story Laleh. Empathy, compassion and kindness is what binds people together. What a beautiful world it would be if it’s filled with love. ❤️
I agree my dear but no one cares about their neighbour these days ❤️thanks darling 😘
Your stories always bring smiles. You, a master story teller. ❤️

How I wish we could all be this kind. Lovely!!!
Me too dear Sue. Thank you for reading and commenting.<3
A lovely story of compassion and understanding. Business doesn’t have to be cut-throat. There is room for all of us.
“Cut-throat “ what a great words for it. These days seems like the best way to describe it. Thanks darling for sharing your thoughts ❤️
Always sad when businesses and developers come in and take down the heart of an area. If the area was depressed with houses falling on top of themselves maybe but why build McMansions? That is the question. I love this compromise and it would be such a beautiful thing if it would truly happen. A nice compromise so all win. Lovely story. Thank you!
Thanks sweetheart for reading and commenting ❤️ yes I wish we could act like a true human being 😊
What a wise and philantrophic supermarket owner! Those people are very rare to find.
They sure are rare, wish we could see more of true human beings. Thanks for sharing your comment ❤️
As Warren stated, “It’s all about perspective.” We think our view is right and at times, our reality can be skewed. Oh God, help us to have a broader vision!
Amen dear Tristan. Thanks for reading my posts ❤️
I so love reading your stories when I get the opportunity, they are always filled with hope, love and such inspiration. Love It and You!!! Keep doing what you’re doing..

A lovely story. My parents had a small deli when we were growing up. They worked 7 days a week/12 hours a day, but could not, in the end, compete w/ the large chains.
Awww, it’s not fair. Thanks Anna dear for sharing your thoughts.❤️
Wonderful story and with a little understanding, goodwill en respect we will have an amazing world.Hope people will think about it
Me too, amen. Thanks dear ❤️
Some say: I do not have, you should not have either
Regards
Thanks dear for sharing your thoughts ❤️
Great story of cooperation. Agreed that it is fiction, but we need to aim higher than reality or we have no hope of achieving that goal. Keep sharing!
Thanks dear, you’re absolutely right❤️
Is this a true story? Either way, it’s so touching. I love to see the everyday kindness of people. It just fills me with hope.
Unfortunately it’s a fiction, but let’s hope for a better future , thanks so much for sharing your comment ❤️
A very beautiful story of loyal competitors. That is what businesses should do. BTW, thank you so much for the follow. It is highly appreciated.
Thanks sweetheart for reading and commenting ❤️
You are kindly welcome.
❤️
Beautifully said. I try to divide my purchases between the supermarket nearby and our friendly grocer a little further away.
Empathy and consideration for others is the need of the hour, as your gem of a story points out.
You’re a wonderful person, thanks for following my blog ❤️
That’s what I call healthy competition and true businessman
Which we barely see in this world 😂 thank you dear ❤️
So nice
Very nice of you ❤️
As a competitor, you can be honest. Unfortunately, this is rare
Yes unfortunately it is a fiction, wish it was true.<3
And, when we know each other’s strengths, and care…. makes the world a better place. Like this story is a part of your work that makes the world a better place.
Awww, you are very kind Jordan. Thank you.
You’re welcome, Laleh.
It used to be fiction, until you wrote it. Now, it provides a true message we can all take part in and use, and that is as real as it gets sometimes. I appreciate that. Thanks for telling a story of nourishing connections conscious to nourish the Mom n Pop across the street.
That was a beautiful comment Jordan, thank you.
You’re very welcome. Now, it’s real, because We can use it to MAKE it happen IRL.
I hope one day the world would turn beautiful as it should.
I will stand by and with that, and do my part little by little, step by step, to keep spilling beauty along the way there. Beauty, the mess that doesn’t need to be cleaned up. 🙂 It’ll happen with all of our work together with each of our beauties Connecting with gold and silver and platinum between us like one, giant, megalopolis Kintsukuroi of Self Earth Vessel. 🙂
Yes, one by one we can, I’m with you. I’s sure there are millions of us who thinks the same. 🙂
🙂
This exactly came to my mind when I read it’s a fiction.
this story makes me so happy, Laleh. what a wonderful world this would be if greed did not exist.
Me too, I guess that’s why we all love fairy tails. Unfortunately it’s mostly in dreams and stories. I wish it was true. Thanks Ateafa my dear.
This is a lovely story and one can read it many times and enjoy the essence of compassion everytime!
That’s very kind of you Sunith.
Belle moralité.
