“93rd story”
First published: May.30.2019
Abas asked his father: “What is the difference between love and marriage?”
His father’s phone rang and the question stayed unanswered.
The next day Abas’ father gifted him an antique book.
Abas said: “This is a valuable book; I promise I will take good care of it.”
Abas later put the treasured book in a special place in his bookcase to store it.
A few days later his father was reading a newspaper, when he put it down Abas picked the paper up to read it.
His father said: “This newspaper belongs to the neighbour, I borrowed it for today only. I have to return it this afternoon.”
Therefore, Abas read the important parts fast.
When Abas was reading fast and paying attention to the paper, his father laughed and said: “Now do you see the difference between love and marriage?”
Abas needed clarification.
Father continued: “In love, you try hard to give attention, demonstrate that you care and show feelings because you are not sure if it will be yours forever, just like this newspaper.
But in marriage, you have that valuable relationship exactly like that valuable book, you know it is yours and you don’t take time to look at it. You own it, but don’t use it to enjoy it.”
That is how we forget that marriage is valuable not to leave it aside. We should appreciate it and treat it like we may not have it the next day.
It’s so beautiful! Loved it! ❣️

Laleh, as joint followers of Derrick, I think I see how you found JanBeek. I thank him for this connection! I have just ordered your book from Amazon. It will arrive June 12. I can hardly wait! I will be finished with Tara’s memoir, Educated, by then – and was looking for a next book. So glad I found it! Thank you! 👍🏽❤️

Laleh, I changed my phone number… whoops. So, now I’m having trouble getting back into my blog due to Authenticator thingy. Anyway, to hopefully fix the problem, i made another WP blog and invited myself to be an Administrator on my site, so to speak. Naturally, I accepted the invitation. Lol. Anyway, I’m using my same name and everything, but I’m so confused. More so than usual! Hugs! I’m still here. ♥️ Tamara Nika

Your parable is, as usual, very precious, and I thank you for it!:) I do, however, ask myself, whether modern marriage is still felt in the same way, because there are so many divorces and this may show, that wifes do not accept anymore so to be put on a shelf so easily!
Very best regards

Thank you for sharing!!.. “You don’t love the person you can live with, you love the person you cannot live without” (Author Unknown)… 🙂
Until we meet again..
May love and laughter light your days,
and warm your heart and home.
May good and faithful friends be yours,
wherever you may roam.
May peace and plenty bless your world
with joy that long endures.
May all life’s passing seasons
bring the best to you and yours!

Truly agreed but life is unfair. If you read my memoir “Climbing Over Grit “ you will feel the betrayal my mother went through.🥺

I wasn’t raised to think life was unfair so this was a total shock to me and one I might never recover from. I’m sorry your mother endured betrayal, I have compassion and empathy for her pain.

I’m sorry you went through an unfair path, but even the harshest things we go through in life can be cured by hope and great supports, even if it’s from your media friends. Stay strong my dear friend.💕
