“103rd story”
First published: Aug.08.2019
Adam worked in an office and his wife was a nurse.

Every morning he gave a ride to his wife, Terry.
Whenever Adam stopped at Terry’s workplace, he jumped out of his seat and opened the car door for her.

This door opening became, the hospital’s first story: “Lucky Terry; She has the most romantic husband, even after years of marriage he still opens the car door for her.”

They always reminded Terry how fortunate she was: “Having an idealistic husband who respects his wife and treats her like a princess is one in a million, you should be very grateful, Terry.”

But the truth was that Adam’s car was getting old and had an issue with its passenger door. It was impossible to open the door from inside and Adam had to jump out and open the car’s door for his wife.

Being busy with daily jobs didn’t allow Adam to fix the car door, for some time. Terry never complained about the door, somehow, she loved Adam opening the door for her and Adam didn’t mind the credit of being the most respected man in front of her colleagues.

Adam eventually fixed the car door one day but didn’t stop opening the door for Terry. That was the smallest thing he could do to make her smile every morning.

Months passed and one day Terry said: “I feel so bad that every day you have to jump out to open the door for me. Aren’t you going to fix this car’s door?”
Adam smiled and said: “The car’s door has been fixed for a long time. Thanks to my scrap car that taught me how to treat my love like a princess.”

The husband fixed the car’s door for years and his wife never noticed because of the power of love. Thanks for posting another love story
Love you.
Wonderful story.
Thanks so much sweetheart.
Beautiful ♥️♥️
Means a lot sweetheart.
❤️❤️
It really can be the little things that make people smile, too. I love how this shows the whole ‘two sides of a story’ element; what others see, and what the reason (at least initially) really was behind it. Very sweet story ♥

Such a lovely story. Laleh were do you get all those beautiful stories from, do you create them in your mind? You are just an amazing writer.
Thanks so much dear. Some are my own stories but many of them are folk tales that I have heard in a few sentences and made it longer. Appreciate your kind words.
Thank you dear Laleh for your kind respond. Indeed your stories are very fascinating files with wisdom. I can’t wait for your next book, is there one in work? Wish you and your family great weekend
You’re so sweet azizam, yes my next novel is called “Soroosh” and I’m working on the last chapter.❤️💕
Can’t wait for it.
You’re a sweetheart.❤️
I was about to ask the same question!
The outside handle broke on my car (driver’s side) so if I have a passenger I have to let them in first and then ask them to reach over and let me in!
In that case it makes my passengers happy because they are doing me a favor in return for getting a ride 😀
You’re doing a nice service, Laleh, by keeping these stories alive – and telling them well!

A wonderful story! I guess you can call me Adam, I’ve been opening car door for my wife, for 30+ years. You can’t fix an old heart, though broken a time or two. Still willing to treat his love, like a Queen!
You’re a true gentleman, Adam.👏👏👏
Just wowww! Thank you for teaching us something through your stories. All your stories have a learning. thank you so much Laleh!
You’re awesome.🙏❤️
Love finds a way to share lasting peace and devotion. When a man opens a car door (or any door) for his bride, his small act of grace fills both of their hearts.
Always the simplicity of showing love.🙏🌷
