“78th story”

Re-Write by Laleh Chini:

A curious student had so many questions about Hades.

He had heard so many explanations and examples of hell, all of which he was sharing with a great wise man that he trusted a lot: “Do you think the dwellers of hell are boiled or burnt?

I heard there are lots of firewood everywhere; hell-guards are walking around with long torches, ready to light a new fire and continuously feed it with firewood so that it never stops from burning.

Sparkling red coal is scattered all around as remnants of prolonged burning wood.”

The great wise man cried after hearing what the student had believed of hell. He wanted to teach his students the truth about hell in the best way that he could think of: “That is very great. Please go to the hell and bring backlit coal so we could heat up our cold stove with it.”

The student walked for a while to get to hell and after a long time came back to his teacher empty-handed.

The wise man asked: “Did you find hell?”

The student said: “Yes, I did.”

The wise man asked surprisingly: “So where is the burning coal?”

And the student said: “I got to hell and searched a lot, but there wasn’t any fire, coal, nor firewood. There was not even a thing to light the fire with. No one was walking around with torches to set any fire! No boiling water nor flame.”

The wise man asked: “Then what did you see in hell?”

The student said: “Everyone was burning from the fire within their conscience.”

  11. A fascinating story, Laleh. So many people live a hell on Earth when they could simply choose love. ❤

  12. Powerful message! The greatest form of torment and hell is oftentimes our own conscience. Loved this, Laleh! ❤️

  15. Often, people are looking for hell in the beyond, and meanwhile, they carry it in their hearts and a burning fire of hatred towards other people.
Thank you for the beautiful and reflective stories taken from life.

  17. There are beautiful gardens in Hades, I hear. During Tammuz they bloom with a most pleasant fragrance.
(I am obsessed with that old story of the seasons. It pops up in every culture)

EVERYONE BURNING ON THE INSIDE…WON’T YOUR EYES OPEN WIDE AND CONSIDER HOW TO THUS ACT? 🙂

  22. Your wisdom stories are more involved—and wiser—-than most others, that consist of untried platitudes with no real basis in real life! ❤

  23. I saw the first picture, it is beautiful. I went through the rest and loved them.

Then I read the story and laughed. I would never have imagined it is a story about hell. It ends with truth. Hell is inside us.

Do you come up with the stories, or do you get them from somewhere? They are unique and lovely.

  24. Just as horrible. It is a pity that children learn not to do something because it is not good for their neighbor and himself. Only because they are in hell for this deed. My imagination of hell is the distance from God forever. Everyone has their own imagination of this space of souls.

  26. “Everyone was burning from the fire within their conscience.” We do this in real life IF we have a conscience! Very good read, Laleh. Thank you for the follow on I Write Her. I do hope you enjoy my thoughts. 🙂
