“122nd story”

Once upon a time;
There lived a rich man who had a beautiful daughter. The rich man’s daughter loved a young man. The young man had no money at all. The poor boy came to the rich man’s house and asked for his daughter’s hand in marriage.
The rich man said: “My daughter grew up wealthy. She will suffer from marrying you. I can’t ever let that happen. She should marry a well-off person to have a comfortable life.”
The daughter begged his father and said: “God will help him grow and make a better life for me. He makes me happy, and love is fundamental.”
The father said: “God won’t make any changes in anyone’s life. People change their own lives, not God.” Then threw the poor boy out.
Time passed, and a wealthy young man came to visit the rich man. Everyone in town knew that wealthy young man for being a cruel, and unkind person to others.
The wealthy young man asked for a hand in the marriage of the rich man’s beautiful daughter.
The rich man loved the proposal and said yes.
The daughter said: “But this young man is a wrongdoer. How come I will be suffering beside a loving and caring poor husband, but will stay happy beside a reveller as a husband?”
The father said: “God will help the wealthy young man to change his attitude after marriage.”
“Don’t you think that same God may help that good honest boy to bring daily bread to your daughter too?” The angry daughter replied.
God help those who help themselves… God can’t change someone attitude. Nice story.

God will open the doors for a change, but the person has to be aware of the open door and make the change by him/her self. So it’s actually the father who has to change his heart for the happiness of his daughter.
