“27th story”
First published; Feb.22.2018

Once upon a time,
the queen of Gem-Land was walking around with her servants.
She saw a poor guy sitting on the ground drawing some lines on the dirt with his finger and many kids circled him.

The queen asked him: “What are you doing?”
He responded: “I am building a home.”
The queen said: “Are you willing to sell your home?”
He said: “Yes.” and told a price to the queen.
The queen asked her servants to provide the money and pay the full amount. She bought the imaginary house from the poor guy.
The poor guy shared the money with the neighbours around him.

That same night, the king had a dream that he was dead and was trying to get into a beautiful house but the guards wouldn’t let him in. When he asked why, they said: “This house belongs to the queen.”

When the king woke up the next day, he described his dream to the queen.
The queen told him about the story of the poor man and the imaginary house.
Everyone at the palace believed the king’s dream was related to the queen’s generosity.
The king didn’t want to be left behind so he went to find that simple-minded poor man whose job was sitting around and drawing houses on the dirt.

The king and his soldiers found the guy and the king said: “I am here to buy your house, like the one you sold to the queen.”
The poor guy asked for a mind-blowing price.
The king objected and said: “You sold a house to the queen yesterday with an affordable amount?! Why is your price so high today?!”

The simple guy responded: “The queen bought the house out of kindness and without any expectation. But you want to buy a house only to go to heaven.”

Interesting story. Jesus wrote in the dirt in the New Testament.
minor edits for you: “some lines [in the] dirt”
He said: “Yes”[,] and gave a price to the queen.

I found this post enlightening. The story though is all so true even if it is not meant to be. Thank you for providing a good story. We need to be like the queen. We need to do things out of kindness not greed.

A sobering story. Good deeds are measured by the sincerity of the soul, not by the greed of power. I enjoyed the slowness
of your story. I thought it was great to start the morning with a smile on my face.
An excellent week for you
