“230th Story”
Sheida had one unique aunt, Aunt Mahin.
She shared the story of Aunt Mahin to us one day.
Sheida said;
Aunt Mahin was a neat person, who always took care of not people, but materials.
Anything she bought the first question she asked from the sales person was: “Do you have any cover for it?”
If the furniture had cover she would buy it separately, if not she would throw a sheet or a large fabric on that.

Her Tv control was always covered with a case like an army tank.
Every time we would visit her, all her furniture was covered with many different sheets, and fabrics just to prevent dust to get into it, and to avoid finger prints of the kids. And it made her house a scary, boring place.
She even covered the rugs with sheets, and when we all went to see her she would point at all the mothers to keep an eye for their kids behaviour and she meant don’t let the sheet move a bit from its place.

Every thing in Aunt Mahin’s house was untouched like a brand new.

But no one liked to go visit her because we all just had to be careful on not moving the sheets or she would get mad, so we rather not to go there at all.

Years passed and aunt Mahin’s furniture never got a bit dust on it, but the relationship between her and others was covered with dust.
She never was happy to see us, because she was worried if we would make her furnitures dirty.

Her attitude wasn’t as clean as her furniture.
No one truly laughed at her house, mostly we were concerned not to make anything stained.

No plate ever broke in her house, because no one touched anything at her place, out of fear.
She died quietly not in peace, her brand new furnitures were donated to the charities with her dishes and all belongings.
She never enjoyed life and never let us love her and get closer to her.
Don’t be aunt Mahin in life; live, laugh, use your belongings, and let your loved ones enjoy your existence.

While reading I thought: What did they do to aunt Mahin that she became a person like this. Who did hurt her so much that she had such a mistrust in any person, even in her own relatives…

Your thinking is smart. Maybe because she was lonely. Thanks for sharing your thoughts.🌷

She must be suffering from a phobia of getting things dirty. What a sad way to live.

This is what we need to learn from this story, what a miserable life she had.
