“167th story”

Once upon a time;
a king had a loyal minister. The minister had a special saying; “It was for a good reason.”
He used this saying on any matter or occasion.
One day the king and his minister were exploring the mountains.
And suddenly, the king’s hand got stuck in a stony place. They tried very hard to release the king’s hand, but unfortunately, the king lost one finger.
The minister said: “It was probably for a good reason.”
The king was in pain and got very angry about the minister’s stupid comment and ordered his soldiers to put the minister in a dungeon.
One year passed, and the king went to the mountain to hunt. A tribe attacked him and took the king as a prisoner.
The tribe’s belief was to sacrifice a human once a year for their Gods.
But concerning their Gods, that person had to be completely healthy.
When they saw the king didn’t have a finger, they set him free.
Then the king remembered his minister’s words when he was in pain of losing a finger. “It was probably for a good reason.” Losing a finger saved the king’s life a year later.
The king ordered his soldiers to free the minister.
When the king told the minister the tribe’s story, the minister said: “It was probably for a good reason that I was in prison.”
The king said: “Why?”
The minister said: “If I weren’t in jail, I would be on that hunting with you, and the tribe would sacrifice me after finding you unhealthy. Many things happen for a good reason, and we don’t understand it at that painful, challenging moment.”

I hope in CA its during the pandemic a little bit “slowing down”, here the ancient Prussian regularies taking place, and the official offices are working like never before. For them i just today have created 20 letter, now in the queue for faxing “five minutes before midnight”. Lol – They should have something for work on Friday, 13 too. 😉

Wow 20 letters, that’s a big job. Here in Toronto mostly is lock down, crazy year so far, businesses are suffering, some are declaring bankruptcies. It’s a sad situation here too. God bless dear Michael.

Dont worry about the amount of letters, Laleh! Its a “serial thing”, but much more fun sending them per Fax, to give em the chance having much more work tomorrow. Lol Its a small amount of italian vendetta. :-)) Be blessed too. Michael

I love this story, Laleh. I can think of several cases in my own life. At the time of our misfortune, we are not able to appreciate that the event may some day lead to a positive outcome.
