What Happened To Our Simple Life?|زندگی ساده ما چه شد؟

“168th story”

First published: Nov.19.2020

A man was walking on a path and fell into a hole.

He shouted for help.

A religious person was passing by and heard the man’s voice from the hole.

The religious person said: “You probably sinned, and now this happened to you as a payback. God wants you to confess your sins. I will sit here and pray for you and listen to your confession.”

An educated person was passing by and went towards the voice. He measured the depth of the hole, checked the quality of the dirt, and started to think.

A journalist saw the crowd, joined and said: “So many things I have seen which were worse than your condition.”

A yoga instructor came and said: “This hole and the pain you are in are just in your mind, and you can clear your concentration and find peace.”

A doctor saw the people gathering, went close, and after he saw the man in the hole, screaming for help, threw him two aspirins and a bottle of water.

A woman came along the others, sat there, and cried for the man in the hole.

A psychiatrist joined the crowd and said: “We have to dig into your past and find out what occupied your mind that made you fall into the hole.”

A positive person joined the crowd and said: “If you try hard, you can come out of the hole.”

An optimist person stopped and said: “You should be thankful; you don’t have a broken foot.”

Then a normal human passed by, and saw the man in the hole. He went and grabbed a rope and pulled the man out.

*We are just making our lives more complicated every day. *

    the jews
    hated em
    phillistines!

  3. Lack of common sense is rampant today. While education and culture are so important they don’t make a difference if there’s no empathy, no love. Great story!

  4. Sad, but hopefully not true! This is a prime example of how analysis alone can be a bad thing, no? 🤠 Thank you for sharing. It’s insightful.

  5. I think the man who fell into the hole should’ve asked the first person to bring him the robe instead of listening to the nonsense of others who wanted to solve the problem with their profession. LOL

  6. This shows what good sound common sense can achieve and a simply solution is often the best.

  7. Indeed, the more materialistic knowledge we have gained, the more complicated we have made our lives.
Very relatable to the present situation.
    Thanks for sharing.

  8. These days there are more onlookers and photographers than real helpers!

  9. Another fabulous story! 🙂 Thank you Laleh! Different answer always. One has to choose the right for for her-/ himself. Best wishes, and please stay save! Michael

  10. I love the morality of your stories!

  11. Love the moral lesson, Laleh. We modern humans, with all of our advance knowledge and technology, have somehow managed to make our lives more complex and complicated than it should be. Imagine, here in the USA, the simple practice of wearing a face mask during a pandemic has become a hot button issue! What has become of our common sense?

    • Yes, we always follow the world news. It’s so strange how governors of each state have different opinions. It’s getting crazy every where. This Corona is getting on the world’s nerves.LOL

  12. A story to make us examine ourselves

  13. I love simple! I seek out the “path of least resistance” in most all I do.

  14. It was good for the man that an average human came along. Your parable reminded me of where it says in the Bible, “If a brother or sister is naked and destitute of daily food, and one of you says to them, “Depart in peace, be warmed and filled,” but you do not give them the things which are needed for the body, what does it profit?” Actions speak louder than words. I enjoyed your story very much.

  15. Thanks, Laleh. And you’re welcome 🙂

  16. Your stories are amazing. Great story as always.💗

  17. I love your stories Laleh..waiting for more and more..love you

  18. Very much correct. We sre just complicating things.

  19. Soooo true. There is no such thing as simple.
    Excellent Laleh
    Keep safe
    💜

  20. When you see someone in trouble,
Just reach out your helping hands.
No need to worry if you’re able…
    Be spontaneous – love demands!

AN EXCELLENT PARABLE—HOW HIGH AND MIGHTY ARE THE FOOLISH AND UNCARING! REAL PEOPLE RESPOND AND HELP!

  23. Ooooh! Action is more helpful than words. Nice read. Good lesson.

  24. Bonjour, j’ai beaucoup aimé la conclusion !!!!! Très bon week-end, louise salmone

  25. a fitting Title 🙂 your thoughts sum up the lack of humanity and common sense that surrounds the year 2020 (yes i know it goes further back, but something about this year)
For a year that went so fast in chaos, cofusion, and craziness , the months went slow very slow, i think each month has had their own 365 days in them.

i have never understood, how one has to analyse what they are seeing, or offer advise, rather than just helping…just help, no photo needed!
Life in the year 2020 has been a journey i hope i don’t ever have to repeat, no need to think i would forget it, hence having to repeat it 🙂

Wonderful post, Thank You for sharing I enjoyed it much.
(Thank you for stopping by, I appreciate your time 🙂 )

    Take Care…You Matter…
    Blessings

  26. “We are just making our life more complicated every day”

    Fact

  27. So true! Great post!

  28. A complicated life, not allowing the heart to be, gives the mind too much opportunities to overthink. When living in the moment gives the heart and mind the freedom to, to live your best life! Nice share!

  29. Excellent fable ! I really like your short stories. Toujours un plaisir à lire et bonjour de France.

  30. Another story with a great lesson, Laleh. Why can’t we all just help one another along in this world?
