“195th story”

First published: June.17.202

There lived two brothers in a city. They had a shop full of suits for men.

Adam the older brother was responsible for staying near the door and with a great welcoming technique bringing the customer into the store.

Kyle was the younger brother whose job was to show different suits to the customers and make them fall in love with them.

The two brothers had a unique strategy and a secret way of making sure the customer won’t leave the store, empty-handed.

The technique was; that when the customer loved for example a black suit, Kyle yelled to Adam: “How much is the black suit?”

Adam: “Which one?”

And Kyle described the suit, then Adam yelled the price: “Eight hundred fifty.”

Kyle pretended that he didn’t hear, then asked again: “How much?”

Adam: “Eight fifty.”

And Kyle tells the customer: “Five fifty.”

The customer heard the eight-fifty and thought that Kyle couldn’t hear correctly. The great opportunity shines and the good price makes him buy the suit with no hesitation. The customer buys the two-hundred-fifty suit for five hundred fifty and runs out of the brothers’ store very happy.

And the brothers’ great business runs very well and grows very fast.

Don’t we see these tricks every day around us?

Dear friends don’t forget to read my books.

  2. What another wonderful teaching story! Honestly, i have also some own experiences in this. To me, it’s still amazing, how people buy by price but not pay attention to quality. Thank you, Laleh! Enjoy a wonderful rest of the week! Please stay save! Michael xx

  3. The brothers are smooth and the customers are careless. If the price tag is on the suit (which I am guessing it is not), I’m surprised the customers do not demand a refund. Fun story nonetheless.

  9. Lying in business is a common occurrence. Man is greedy, greedy and always wants more. Whatever he has, he still has little. He buys things, objects, although he could do without them.

  11. Thank you for sharing!!…the brother’s may celebrate at the moment, but it could very well come back to haunt them and they could pay a price far greater that the cost of the suit… especially with today’s technology and knowledge… “I have a greater peace of mind by being straightforward and truthful, with open heart and mind, knowing the outcome being uncertain, rather than to wake up tomorrow morning and have to deal with a falsehood I told yesterday.” (Larry “Dutch” Woller )….

    Until we meet again..
May flowers always line your path
    and sunshine light your way,
    May songbirds serenade your
    every step along the way,
May a rainbow run beside you
in a sky that’s always blue,
And may happiness fill your heart
each day your whole life through.

  12. In the end, no one is truthful. The buyer and the seller, both were liars in this story. A different take, enjoyed reading this.
