Once upon a time,

As all history can remember, the king’s treasury was getting low, and he had to devise a new plan.

The king sent his announcers to the town square to read the new tax rules for the people.

The announcer shouted: ” From now on there will be a new tax. The tax on underwear.

People with white underwear will have to pay five coins. Blue underwear will need six coins. Red underwear costs ten coins. Those with flowered patterns will need to pay fifteen coins. Stripped will cost two coins, and…..

The announcer read two hundred different prices on all kinds of underwear.

A person in the crowd yelled: ” I don’t wear underwear.”

The announcer said, “You don’t have to pay tax on underwear. Still, you should pull your pants down so we can see and be sure.” But if that bothers your privacy you can pay five coins and just pass the checking point.

Without any argument, people started to pay for the new tax rule.

And life went on as every day in history. Different nonsense taxes grew to fill up the treasury. These taxes also emptied people’s pockets.

    Please don’t give Donald Trump any new ideas, Laleh! LOL! That story reminds me of something my sister and I learned when we visited the Kintyre Peninsula of Scotland where our Morrison ancestors came from in the 1700s. In the late 1600s there was a Hearth Tax. If you had smoke coming out of your chimney, you had to pay a tax on it! Rulers must lie awake at night thinking up new taxes to impose, no matter how ridiculous!

    Is this something you have already got from the POTUS? Here we can see that the reality is getting closer to fiction. The only difference would be that in US your will soon put into prison if you do not wear underwear at all.
