Farsi Language/زبان فارسی

262nd story

I was thinking, why not write about my language in today’s blog?

The Farsi language is now used in twenty-nine countries worldwide.

Farsi is the second most widely spoken classical language in the world, after Greek. Latin and Sanskrit come in third and fourth.

When it comes to proverbs, Farsi sits in the top three countries’ languages.

Farsi has a vast world of words, for which Dehkhoda published eighteen books to cover A to Z in the Farsi dictionary.

In Farsi, two hundred twenty-five million words have been made, which is very unique compared to other languages in the world.

Farsi is older than Latin, and twelve centuries older than English.

From the list of the top ten poets in the world, five are in the Farsi language.

Farsi is the only language in which you can use nineteen verbs in one meaningful sentence.

Unfortunately, some Arabic words have been mixed in Farsi after Arab attacks more than one thousand years ago. They tried to destroy the Farsi language. It was illegal for people to teach their children Farsi.

Thanks to Ferdowsi, the Persian poet, who wrote Shahnameh in the seventh century BC.

In this wonderful poetry book, not even one Arabic word has been used.

We are still under attack by the Islamic Republic, whom have been ruling Iran for the past forty-six years, and has destroyed Iran’s soil, reputation, culture, not to mention language.
