Life always needs an anchor…

Something that keeps us in place,
something that doesn’t allow us to drift too far
from the peaceful shores of our own calmness.

Something that stops the waves
from pulling us away
into the unknown —
into the middle of nowhere.
Sometimes, our anchor is another human being —
a presence that steadies us when we shake.

Sometimes, it is a belief, a thought that gives us strength, a conviction that reminds us who we are.
Sometimes, it is faith, something unseen yet unbreakable.
Sometimes, it is a daily habit, as simple as a morning walk or a cup of tea, that brings us back to ourselves.
Sometimes, our anchor is work, a purpose that keeps our minds from wandering.
And sometimes, it is friends —laughter shared in ordinary moments that feel like home.

There are times it is family,
a warm gathering that reminds us
We belong somewhere.
It might be a gym, where we fight our battles calmly, so our bodies would reenergize the heart.
It may be books —walls of paper that open a thousand windows to the world.

Or it may be memories, a handful of moments we refuse to let go of
because they hold pieces of us.
Whatever a person’s anchor looks like, it is the distance between them and getting lost in the waves of time.
It is what keeps them from drifting into confusion, from wandering without a destination.

So, whenever storms rise —whenever the world gets loud and the voices around you hurt, whenever life’s chaos tries to pull you away…
Hold on to your anchor.
Have something — or someone —that steadies you, grounds you, protects you from the storm.
Because in the endless ocean of life, your anchor is what keeps you
from losing yourself.
