324th story
In ancient times, a king decided to teach his people a lesson.

One morning, he ordered a large boulder to be placed right in the middle of a busy road that led into the city. After giving the command, he hid himself nearby behind some trees, curious to see how his subjects would react.

As the day went on, wealthy merchants passed by in their fine clothes, followed by royal courtiers and important officials. Each of them noticed the massive stone blocking the way. Some carefully walked around it. Others shook their heads in annoyance. A few loudly complained, saying, “What kind of city is this? Why is there no order? How incompetent the ruler must be to allow such chaos!”

Yet despite all their criticism and frustration, not one of them made any effort to move the boulder. They simply adjusted their path and continued on, leaving the obstacle exactly where it was.
Hours passed. The sun began to set, casting long golden shadows across the road.

At that moment, a poor villager approached. His back was bent under the heavy load of fresh fruits and vegetables he was carrying to sell at the market. When he reached the stone, he stopped. Unlike the others, he did not complain. Instead, he gently set down his basket, wiped the sweat from his brow, and examined the obstacle.

With great effort and determination, he pushed and strained against the heavy rock. It took all his strength, but little by little, he managed to roll it aside and clear the road for others who would pass after him.
As he lifted his basket again, something caught his eye. Beneath the place where the stone had rested, there was a bag. Surprised, he picked it up and opened it. Inside, he found glittering gold coins and a note.

The note was from the king. It read:
“Every obstacle and barrier we encounter in life can be an opportunity to change our destiny. What stands in your way today may be the very thing that leads you to a better tomorrow.”
