The Pomegranate Garden/باغ انار

Adam’s family owned a big pomegranate garden.

Adam’s father created a beautiful picnic area, and most Sundays, the entire family gathered to enjoy their rest day together.

On a Sunday, the garden was full of many labourers picking the ripe pomegranates, putting them in boxes and loading them into the trucks.

Adam’s father usually gifted a box of pomegranates to each family on that day.

Adam and his cousins started playing hide and seek after lunch. It was their usual game in the garden, as there were many places to hide without being found easily.

While Adam was hiding saw one of the loyal labourers named Bob, giving boxes of pomagranates over the wall to another person in the alley.

Adam stayed quiet so Bob wouldn’t notice.

The weather was starting to get dark, and the labourers were standing in a line for Adam’s dad to pay their wages.

When it was Bob’s turn, Adam couldn’t stay quiet and loudly described what he witnessed.

Everyone stood quiet, shocked, waiting for Adam’s dad’s reaction.

Adam’s dad went directly to Adam and yelled, ” Stop spreading lies. Go to the car.”

Adam’s father paid all the labourers and went to the car to drive home, and kindly told Adam, ” Never destroy a person in front of the others. I won’t let him work for me any longer, but there’s no need to take his honour in front of others. I’m sure he learned his lesson, and he regrets what he did.”
